The Youth for Sustainable Living youth exchange was successful

Between 6-14 April, the Youth for Sustainable Living youth exchange took place in Homoródfürdő/Băile Homorod, with the participation of young people from Hungary, Slovakia, Spain and Romania. The main aim of the project was to raise awareness about the importance of sustainable living for the future of our world and to help young people to reconnect with nature by promoting the sustainable use of natural resources through simple activities such as cooking with local, fresh ingredients or making natural cosmetics.

Project coordinator: Harghita Community Development Association

Organizations involved in the project: Vidéken Jó Alapítvány (Hungary), SYTEV - Slovak Youth for Traveling, Education and Volunteering (Slovakia), Fundación General de la Universidad de Burgos (Spain) and GOD NGO/ Сдружение ГОД/Global Organization for Development (Bulgaria).

We are grateful to our partners for their persistent efforts to make the youth exchange a success, and to our coordinators, Berni Benedek and Zsolt Benedek, who ran the programme excellently.

Special thanks to the Határátlépők Association, Orsi Fröhlich (My Petite Csíkszereda), Tünde Haba and Előd Szőcs for the meaningful and interesting workshops, which allowed participants to learn about sustainability in different areas of life.

The project is co-financed by the Erasmus+ programme.
